Here is the new Android 4.1 which is the fastest and smoothest version of Android released! . Google says that Jelly Bean improves on the simplicity and beauty of Android 4.0, and introduces a new Google search experience and many more awesome features to Android.
Google I/O just started off at Moscone West in San Francisco, Google’s Hugo Barra pulled the curtains back on the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.Google actually showed the difference between Jelly Bean and ICS by running them both at the same time at the conference. The difference in speed was quite apparent and also many advanced features like Sharper Notifications,Google Now(Google’s answer to Apple’s Siri) Android Beam,Smarter Keyboard,many features in UI, Camera app, NFC,smoothness, quick and saves battery, it understands the user (knows you!) , optimized search experience!
There are some rumors about Android 4.1 ‘Jelly Bean’ release about ver 5.0 or 4.1 and Google Play Store displayed the info of shoppers added the Galaxy Nexus to their carts!! but finally Google announced Android 4.1 during its Google IO developers conference with Google nexus first to get 4.1 Jelly bean OTA and released new awesome Google nexus 7 tab!!

Voice Recognition: (Google’s Answer to Apple Siri)
Its voice recognition will work offline, unlike Apple’s Siri!! .The voice writing feature is the big thing. Hugo Barra, Director of Product Management at Google, demoed voice writing on an Android phone set to airplane mode, proving that it works offline unlike Apple’s Siri voice writing!!, online version of the Siri-like service where the user could ask an Android device a question (e.g. “Who is the Prime Minister of Japan?”) or issue a command (“Show me pictures of pygmy marmoset.”) and the phone would respond both with a voiced answer and Google search responses!!!.
Google Maps Offline, new Chrome Browser for all platforms:
Google Chrome becomes the default browser in new Jelly Bean devices, starting with the Nexus 7. Bad news for Apple Google Chrome is out of beta and now available on iOS and it gives users a reason to stay within the Google environment, not an excuse from Apple to keep out of it. This means less mobile browsing with Safari, which has been unrivaled for years on iOS. With syncing across the Chrome ecosystem, each Google account is slowly embedding its way into the iOS ecosystem!!.
Android users can save maps for offline use, users can select and save a region of a map from more than 150 countries for offline usage. Google Maps for Android can now save up to six large metro areas on the app,for this users will have to select “Make available offline” from the menu and verify the area that they would like to save,users will be able to view the estimated file size of the map, letting users know how much storage space it will consume. Upon confirmation, the map will be downloaded to your Android device. Awesome feature is GPS working on your device, the blue dot will still work without an Internet connection. In addition to the offline mode, Google is also releasing a smoother and faster Compass Mode for Street View in Google Maps for Android.
